Quality System

The Quality System complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and Atex directive 94/9/EC.

The management and personnel of NIROS Communications A/S shall work according to the Quality System and thus ensure fulfilment of all relevant requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard, Atex directive and applicable regulatory requirements.

2. Management Declaration.
NIROS Communications A/S shall implement and ensure the continuos improvement of the Quality Management System as described in ISO9001:2000 and the requirements of the ATEX directive 94/9/EC.

The Quality Management System is supervised, maintained and improved under the responsibility of the Quality Manager, who as the representative of the management ensures the fulfilment of the requirements of ISO9001:2000.

3. Organisation
The Quality Manager is the representative of the management with responsibility and authority to ensure fulfilment of the requirements of ISO9001:2000. The Quality Manager shall continuously improve the system and report to the management on the performance of the system. The Quality Manager refers directly to the Managing Director and has the necessary authority to make decisions on quality matters.

The Management has appointed an ATEX-authorised person, who is responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements and intentions of the ATEX Directive. This person is authorised to stop production or shipment of Ex-products - if necessary.

4. Involvement of personnel
All personnel at NIROS Communications A/S are responsible for and authorised to:

• Report failures and doubts to their managers
• Perform the work according the specified procedures
• Be quality-conscious in their work.
• Propose improvements.
• Information meetings are held, bulletin boards are kept and intranet is being used to ensure proper flow of
• information to the personnel.

5. Quality objectives and policy
The objective of NIROS Communications A/S is:

• to fulfil the specified and accepted requirements of the customer including regulatory requirements.
• to ensure that Atex-products are marketed, sold and produced according to the requirements of the ATEX directive.
• Further objectives are established by the management at weekly staff meetings and at specific strategy meetings

To ensure compliance with the objectives a Quality Management System according to ISO9001:2000, the Atex-directive 94/9/EC and other regulatory requirements has been established.

6. Quality System Manual
As a tool to look up currently approved procedures and instructions, every employee has access to a Quality Systems Handbook on the company Intranet. All internal processes and their relations are shown in a structure diagram, and by pressing the relevant boxes, you are quickly led to the procedure/instruction that you are looking for. This ensures an always updated Quality System Manual and makes it easy for all employees to look up procedures/instructions when in doubt.
